Thanks to reader Marsha Brown for the tip. This article published in April 2001 stated that the site was "[c]reated as promotional tool for Hamrick.com's image-viewer software". Does anyone know of an similar online service, either free or for fee? A quick Google query fetched other pages that pointed back to Hamrick, but I didn't research the question any further. Since we started TheEndOfFree, I don't recall having seen any service category disappear from the web altogether.
