Yahoo hints at Web-based office tools: "The giant online portal is hosting a survey on its Web site that asks questions based on a hypothetical "full-featured suite of office productivity tools available online through a browser, handheld devices and Web-enabled cell phones."
I use various MyYahoo services on a daily basis -- e-mail, briefcase, bookmarks, notepad, personal finance tools. Now they're thinking about hosting basic office applications too -- cool! If bandwidth permits online apps to grow more sophisticated, could we someday see the end of expensive office software bundles, annual upgrades, and removable storage devices?
