2nd Annual Selling Subscriptions to Internet Content Summit: I'm going to this event organized by MarketingSherpa in NY, May 21st. All speakers are marketing executives who manage subscription services of content web sites and newsletters, so I hope to learn hands-on information on what works (and what doesn't). When we started TEoF we focused a little more on web applications, but I think there are lessons that work for both content and apps. For instance, how to handle free-and-fee cohabitation or free-to-fee conversion relies on positioning (what product at what price for which customers) and direct marketing principles that apply to both.
