GameSpot, an online information resource for PC gaming enthusiasts recently announced that they will be discontinuing their free file download services. This includes game updates, demo downloads, and GameSpot's own preview video downloads. Download service, through their "Download Express Subscription," will be available to users at $9.95 per month. File downloads will now be redirected to the software manufacturer, with preview videos available only to subscribing members.
