Feed me now: "Just as it did during Big Brother's first two years, Channel 4 is offering 24-hour live web streaming from the house - with one big difference. This year's feed is not free. And, apart from a flurry of indignation in the first couple of weeks, thousands of viewers have been more than happy to stump up £10 a month for a service that means they need never lose touch with the housemates."
These live feeds are part of RealAudio's European Superpass, in a partnership similar to what CBS did in the US last year. Endemol has created a real multimedia international money maker, and they're probably spreading new revenue ideas across markets depending on local conditions (e.g. SMS sells like hotcakes in Europe while it made sense to start selling streaming video in North America.) Endemol has been acquired by Telefonica two years ago, which would make it a likely partner with Terra Lycos.
