N.J. adding fee to help E-ZPass: "A million E-ZPass drivers will be charged a $1-a-month fee as part of a sweeping plan announced yesterday by Gov. McGreevey to keep New Jersey's troubled toll-collection system operating. [...] The bitter irony is that drivers and the five agencies in the consortium, including the Atlantic City Expressway, were promised that E-ZPass would cost nothing. [...] Yesterday, state Transportation Commissioner James P. Fox called the original plan a "financing fantasy" and promised "a new era of frankness and accountability." [...] Worst of all, the financing plan proved illusionary. For example, the consortium projected it would receive $101.8 million last year from toll cheats, but collected only $10.8 million."
Doesn't that sound like an online story or what?
